Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a pet psychic in Santee, California?

Yes. Ron Cable of What’s Up Pup is a pet psychic and animal communicator based in Santee, California. He specializes in telepathic communication with animals worldwide, so your animal never has to leave the couch, and he talks with dogs, cats and every creature in between, living or passed. He is a graduate of The Sedona International School for Animal & Nature Communication. Call 619-654-3227.

How do I book a session with Ron Cable?

Call 619-654-3227, or send a note from the Contact page: choose “Book a session”, pick a session length and tell Ron what’s going on, and he’ll be in touch to find a time. Leave an email address, a phone number, or both: whatever’s easiest.

How much does a session with Ron Cable cost?

Sessions are priced by length: 15 minutes $50, 30 minutes $90 (the most popular), 45 minutes $120 and 60 minutes $150 (the best deal). Every session works for any animal, anywhere in the world. You pick the length when you book.

What are Ron Cable’s hours?

Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm Pacific time. Weekends are kept for emergencies, like a lost animal: if your animal is lost, call Ron at 619-654-3227 any day.

Does my animal need to come to Santee for a session?

No. Sessions happen worldwide, and your animal doesn’t need to come to Santee (though they’d be welcome). As Ron describes it, telepathic communication works over any distance: he has talked with animals from Hawaii to Hungary, and checked in with dogs who were away from home.

What can an animal communicator help with?

People call Ron about aches, pains and discomfort (animals can’t point to where it hurts, so he can help you and your vet know where to look), puzzling behavior, moves and new family members, grief and loneliness, lost animals, animals who have passed, reincarnation, check-ins while you’re apart (at the breeder, the vet or the boarder), and messages animals would like to share with their humans.

What happens in a session with Ron Cable?

It starts with you: Ron asks about you, your animal and what’s on your mind, so he knows exactly what to ask. Then he talks with your animal: how they feel, whether anything hurts or worries them, and what they’d like you to know. Then you hear what your animal had to say. In Ron’s words: “I make it easy, and I am as nice as a puppy.”

Can Ron Cable talk with an animal who has passed?

Yes. Ron talks with animals who are here with you and with those who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and shares the messages they want their people to hear. For people who are grieving, a conversation with an animal who has passed can bring comfort, closure and peace. A session with an animal who has passed is booked like any other: tell Ron a little about them, and he’ll be in touch gently.

Can Ron help when an animal is lost?

When an animal goes missing, Ron reaches out for clues about where they are, offering hope and direction at a frightening time. Lost animals can’t wait for email: call Ron now at 619-654-3227, weekends included, then send the details from the Contact page (choose “My animal is lost”).

How does telepathic animal communication work?

It is based on the idea that humans and animals can exchange thoughts, emotions and images without spoken language. Animal communicators often describe three channels: pictures (mental images an animal projects), feelings (sensations and emotions, felt as if they were the communicator’s own) and words (words or intuitive impressions). It is not about reading minds in a human sense, but tuning in to the signals animals naturally send. The evidence is largely anecdotal, and many people say they have simply “just known” what their animal was feeling.

What training does Ron Cable have?

Ron is a graduate of The Sedona International School for Animal & Nature Communication, where he completed an intensive, yearlong Animal Communication Certification Program with instructor Maia Kincaid, PhD, on June 2, 2023. The University of Rhode Island has also invited him to speak to a class about his experiences communicating with animals who have passed.

What animals does Ron Cable talk with?

Any animal: dogs, cats, birds, horses, dolphins, even gorillas. Ron has talked with dolphins off the shores of Hawaii, gorillas in the African jungles and kitties in Hungary. If it has a heartbeat (or once did), Ron will listen.

The words are explained in the glossary, and every session length is on Sessions & rates.
